Following the exploration of LFA, our focus shifted towards endowing robots with agency, enabling them to autonomously select how to interact with various individuals. Our initial objective with the first prototype was to develop a mechanism capable of executing both hugging/grasping motions, signifying acceptance, and defensive gestures, symbolizing refusal.

Prototype C represents a significant advancement in our endeavours. Its design is meticulously crafted to convey nuanced communication cues. The incorporation of sharp, pointed edges signifies a defensive stance and self-protection, while the incorporation of gentle curves conveys openness and acceptance. This intentional design fusion aims to enhance the robot's ability to engage in dynamic and contextually appropriate interactions with humans.

In further pursuit of endowing the robot with agency, we've integrated a rotating motion capability. This enhancement allows the robot to scan its surrounding audience, analyzing their movements and expressions in real-time. Based on this gathered data, the robot exercises judgment, making informed decisions about how it will react and move. By incorporating this dynamic feature, our aim is to elevate the robot's ability to engage in adaptive and responsive interactions, fostering more meaningful and contextually appropriate engagements with its human counterparts.
